Customer Reviews Policy
At (un)cancer, we deeply respect and prioritize the privacy and confidentiality of our customers, especially those who are cancer patients. We are committed to ensuring that their personal information remains secure and protected. To this end, we have implemented the following privacy measures regarding customer reviews:
Use of Initials Only: When cancer patients provide reviews or testimonials about their experiences with our products or services, we will use their initials instead of their full names. This measure is taken to safeguard their identity and protect their privacy. Under no circumstances will we disclose the full names of cancer patients in reviews.
Anonymous Submissions: If a cancer patient wishes to submit a review entirely anonymously without using initials, we will fully support their choice and ensure that their privacy is maintained.
When it comes to reviews, our goal is to be as transparent as possible, while staying compliant with guidelines set forth by consumer protection laws. These guidelines are designed to protect consumers.
In order to remain compliant, we clarify reviews that contain one or more of the following:
-
Feedback from customers who received free product from (un)cancer
Sometimes we give out free products or offer discounts to certain customers. The honesty or equity of a gifted or free product review may be affected/swayed/influenced by the free product. We tag these reviews appropriately so it is known that it is from customers who have self-identified as having received a gifted or free product. -
Claims that our products prevents, or cures disease
The OC Oral Care products are not intended to be drug products that diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. These products have not been approved by the FDA, and the statements here have not been evaluated by the FDA.. -
Product claims that have not been properly substantiated with scientific evidence
We are responsible for claims about our products made by customers in published reviews. Sometimes customers suggest that the product has delivered benefits that cannot be backed up by research. In those cases, we choose not to publish their reviews. -
Reports of an adverse health event
Occasionally customers suggest, in the format of a review, that taking our product has coincided with an adverse reaction. This is a specific type of complaint in the eyes of the FDA and it must be handled offline with a full, formal investigation. -
Spam, scams, derogatory or hate language
We choose not to publish reviews that we believe put our customers or site users at risk.
